Susanne Balpataky

Susanne Balpataky is a partner who practises almost exclusively in the area of commercial litigation. She was called to the Bar in 1991 and has been with the firm since shortly following her call.

Susanne is currently serving her third full year as a director of the Peel Law Association (“PLA”) and has sat on several PLA committees, including membership and legal education. Susanne also serves as the PLA representative at the Ontario Bar Association and, in that capacity, sits on governing council of the OBA.

For 15 years, Susanne was a member of Business and Professional Women Brampton and during that time served on the Executive for many years. She was President of BPW Brampton from May 2001 to May 2003. She also held a position on the board of the provincial organisation, the Business and Provincial Women's Clubs of Ontario, from 2003 to 2005.

Susanne also acted for two years as residential fundraising chairperson for the Brampton Unit of the Canadian Cancer Society.

Susanne edits a bi-monthly newsletter entitled "Building Relationships" that deals, in alternating months, with construction issues and issues relating to standards of practice of lawyers.
