Ian Latimer

Ian Latimer is a partner and a member of our Collection, Condominium, Litigation, and Construction Practice Groups. Ian has been with the firm since he his call to the Bar in 1987.

In 1997, the Attorney General of Ontario appointed Ian as a Deputy Judge of the Small Claims Court of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. The Small Claims Court has a monetary jurisdiction of $10,000 and it is Ontario's busiest court. Ian sits as a Deputy Judge approximately twice per month.

Ian has chaired and spoken at seminars presented by the Peel Law Association, the Advocates Society, and the Toronto Construction Association. From 1996 to 2002, Ian taught civil advocacy at the Bar Admission Course.

Ian served as a director of the Peel Law Association from 1996 to 2001 and, for three of those years, he was the treasurer.

Ian is involved in the Brampton Community. He is a member of the Flower City Kiwanis Club of Brampton, which is a service club that raises funds to help children in need.
